smitty Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 I would say: 1HP Good - 4 dimes / 40 blob / 2x25s Real Good - 5 dimes / 50 blob / 2 x 35's / 45 blob by the face Elite - 6 dimes / 50 blob by the face / 2 x 45's / 3 x 25s / 2 x 45s (York) / 50 blob + weight 2HP Good - 150 lbs Real Good - 180+ Elite - 200+ Quote -Smitty- www.DIESELCREW.com "Achieving Beyond Potential"

It'd be kind of fun to try to rank order them by degree of difficulty. RiotGrip Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Are 2x35s really in the same league as the 50lb blob? Quote Grip like you mean it!

It'd be kind of fun to try to rank order them by degree of difficulty. I don't think that's going to be possible since there are people with different handsizes (again a post on it ). Someone with 9" hands might have it easier to lift a blob by its face then lifting the blob in a conventional way. Someone with 7" hands will never lift a blob by it's face merely because his hands don't fit around it. Then you also have the fact that people differ, one might find it easier to lift a blob then to lift 2 plates or visa versa. but it would be nice if possible though Quote Mark Vogels -------------------- "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right."
unequipped Posted November 22, 2007 Author Posted November 22, 2007 thank you, friends! i am sorry for my english. what are "dimes"? and did you mean: one-hand-pinch with: 2x12,5 kg, 2x 15 kg and 2x20 kg - plates? yesterday i tried 4 x 5 kg plates, but the slipped away Quote Walter Kurda, 57 183 cm, 110 - 120 kg raw-bp 235 kg/227,5 kg (500 lbs) 19 times national champion Grip-Favorites: RT, AA, Inch DB (next life) www.unequipped-benchpress.de http://www.facebook....100001795348389 http://www.youtube.c...rda?gl=DE&hl=de
pdfk20 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Dimes are plates that weight 10lbs each. And, yes about the 1 hand pinch weights, in the states, they are all measured in lbs, so when you convert to kg, you are actually lifting slightly different weights , e.g, 2x45's becomes 2x44's, but the feat is still considered in the same league i think. Two 10, 15, and 20 kilogram plates are the closest metric equivalent of the plates Smitty cited in pounds. Plates that don't mate up evenly make pinching multiple plates even more difficult, as they wobble. Quote
