Autolupus Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Here's a link to a clip of my first reversed G5. Bend 1/4" G5 bolt@6" taken to around 45 deg. in just under 30 seconds, then finished off. I made the total bending time to be under 1 minute. Please excuse the picture quality, it could've been a lot better, the webcam seems to perfom quite badly in incandescent light. climber511 Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Nice bend - crush down looked like nothing to you. Looks like it's time to try some 1/4" square stock here real soon. Autolupus Posted August 21, 2007 Author Posted August 21, 2007 Thanks all and cheers for the bolt Brendan(ox3782) Nice bend - crush down looked like nothing to you. Looks like it's time to try some 1/4" square stock here real soon. It'd be nice to think so Chris but the reality of it is I was lucky to get the crushdown without my right shoulder tearing again. I'd done too much too soon and a little while back felt something in my shoulder tear, it was during the transition from sweep to crushdown, probably just a few tendon strands snapping, there's not a great deal of pain but it's left me weak as a kitten and have felt it go again on much weaker bends so a big dose of R+R is needed. I WILL get there, just need to fully heal up first. Quote Mike Mackenzie. Luceo non uro.

Get some bigger steel and dominate it with your strength and technique tweaking The best way to get the true angle is to have the center of the bolt marked and a straight edge on the bottom of the compass http://www.davidhorne-gripmaster.com/rever...ylebending.html I have mine without the 40Deg edge in place because sometimes it gets in the way of a swooping bend.
