matthcarl Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Hi all. I felt pretty strong today and tried a couple of new bends. I finished off a piece of 6" 0-1 drillrod pretty easily (thanks Charlie), and went for a 5.5" G5 from FBBC (it says FNL and TY on the head if that matters). It was definitely the hardest thing I've ever bent, and I had to break for a few minutes between kinking it to 90 and finishing it. But it went down and I'm quite pleased. I also tried one of Ox's "mutant" 60d's but it looks safe for now 5.5" G5 + 6" 0-1 drillrod Quote Name: Matt Carl Runner, Graphomaniac, Steel Bending Fiend

vikingsrule92 Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 According to Brendan those 60ds are like G8s so don't worry about that. Great job on the 5.5" G5!!!! Quote

Autolupus Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Nice bending , it took me a while for the DO style to "click", still finding my groove really. Quote Mike Mackenzie. Luceo non uro.
matthcarl Posted August 20, 2007 Author Posted August 20, 2007 Nice bending , it took me a while for the DO style to "click", still finding my groove really. Thanks. Yeah, I was holding my hands out in front of the body and rotating the wrists at first. Someone said if you can bend 15 60d's in a day, you can do one G5. Actually my first (6") G5 was a lot easier than my first 60d since I had better form. Quote Name: Matt Carl Runner, Graphomaniac, Steel Bending Fiend
