Lets have it right its a "FOLD IN MULTI COLOURED BIG WRAPS"Congrats anyway nice fold.

Maybe we should start calling the Reverse and DU style bends As they are now only 40-45degrees HALF or QUARTER bends as the crush as you and others like to say the "FOLD" has been done away with maybe some would be better off developeing a decent crush/finish rather than adopting bigger wraps and easier styles.

First off Brendan, it's a free country so I can call it whatever I like. Not sure why my remarks irked you. It's not like I came over to your house and rang your doorbell then called you a bastard or anything. Second, I don't consider the term "folding" to be disrespectful at all. I use it mainly to differentiate my style from some of the other guys. I openly admit to not having a lot of wrist strength. So I PUSH on the ends of the bar, which to me is more of a "fold" (I did not invent the term by the way) than a bend. A bend to me is when you rely more on wrist strength (torquing the bar with wrist pressure) to get the bar started or kinked.

The fact remains that most would agree that in any style (folding or bending) the Huge Shiny is a good bend.

That's sweet Gazza. Your backhanded compliment is exactly what I would expect from you. Your remarks are like telling a fat kid you bought them some new clothes...but they're still fat. Hahaha. If the term "folding" bothers you so much maybe you can filter it out somehow on the board. Or I could just spell it differently to avoid offending you. I'll think of something.

Hey since we're airing dirty laundry on the open board, why aren't you showing all the other benders just how much better than us all you are by entering the UK Champion of Steel contest? Broken hand? And you're still bending the stuff you are lately. I'm surprised you don't want to show everyone up and put all the "doubters and haters" to rest. That used to be your broken record mutterings. Not actually calling you out since I'm not entering it either. Just mildly curious but wasn't bored enough to ask you or find out. Until now, when all of a sudden you're rearing your head to strike out at all those that must be attacking you somehow with their words.

Awesome bend / fold whatever. I see I'm not the only one who has a natural reaction to bend over like that when bending. Brendan, I don't speak for Ben or anyone else but I think from reading past posts that Ben basically meant "keep on folding, fellow folder". Not trying to put words in his mouth but I've just read alot of past posts on the subject and the "feat cheaters" remarks and stuff like that. Sorta like having a "my other car's a ferrari" bumper sticker. You know, say it yourself before somebody else does.

Thanks Tim. You're spot on as usual. When I step back and look at this argumentative thread at a distance it's actually comical. Folder is such a dirty word to some, but I claim it proudly.

I title it a bend because John recognizes and labels his certs as bends, not folds. Folding is just what I consider what I did. I didn't get upset over the simple question. I got irritated by the people that said they're "upset" about the use of the term "folding." That's comical. If that term upsets you, then you've got bigger problems. Like worrying about what might upset you throughout the day in the real world.

Lucky for me Ben, the term 'folding' doesn't get me upset or down during my day in the 'real world', but thanks for your concern anyway!

I truly believe you enjoy prodding a reaction from the board, and enjoy putting people in their place, especially guys with less 'status' than yourself (sorry for the constant use of 'quotes' people but i just feel the need for it). I don't see anyone else on the board being so rude and abrupt as some of your replies to questions people have asked of you.

If you were going to get irritated by other peoples reaction to your use of the tem 'folding' then why use it in your thread? I really don't understand. Fair enough, you can have your view and opinion, but so too can everyone else, and there is no need to bash them down when they do so.
