bencrush Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 I'm going through and uploading some videos to YouTube now that I have broadband. It makes me feel like I was living in the stone ages thinking back on the dialup speed. This one is my 280 pound 2" vbar (really just an Ironmind loading pin) from February. The plates weighed heavy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94KVEZqSPNk This is a CCS #3 close of the brand new GR8 #3 that Matt Cannon (thanks again buddy!) sent to me. Now that I'm training the grippers regularly again I've taken this #3 out of storage and am giving it some good use. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qU-xegDK6dg Don't remember if this one was posted already, but it's the 387 (it's mislabeled) that I pulled back in December on the FBBC vbar with Pete Kerr witnessing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzubyoFDeuk Quote
pdfk20 Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 That video of you lifting the 387 , brings back good memories of a good days gripping. Enjoye seeing you destroy that #3 CCs as well. bencrush Posted August 18, 2007 Author Posted August 18, 2007 Thanks Pete. That was a good day we had back in December. I'll be overseas next year so we'll have to hook up then. Quote
FrankyBoy Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Great stuff Ben! Hope to see more vids now from you in the future. Quote
dimmers Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Nice vids Ben!!! keep em coming. i only switched to broad band last year, and i know how you feel, great isn't it?!?! Quote
bencrush Posted August 18, 2007 Author Posted August 18, 2007 Thanks Franky. You will see a few more. I have kept a good base of grip strength from all the crazy volume I did. The only thing I'll need to do for another contest (maybe next year) is to polish it a bit. Adding more strength is always a good idea too. So I won't neglect that. But I sure don't have the time to train all the time like I did for a while. Not sure what I'll enter next, or if there is a next contest. Not going to deliberate over it much. But I really enjoyed the MGC. And enjoyed both BBBs too. Most definitely not going to the BBB this year though. Other engagements. So I guess I'll try to decide between the BBB, MGC, or maybe the GGC next year. Depends on which one has events I think I could train to have a Top 5 shot at. Kind of kicking myself still for not staying with the DO bending until after the MGC. It cost me the 5th place overall spot that I wanted. But I guess it's nice to have the use of my shoulders still. twig Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 France have a nice relaxed way of life. I'm sorry? Did you see all the rioting and car burnings earlier this year??? Still, good food, lovely countryside, GREAT women, and the people aren't nearly as bad as they're made out to be. If I have to go to France to meet your puny ass, then I will, I could do with a holiday. Quote Be nice until it's time to not be nice-Patrick Swayze, Dalton, Raodhose. R.I.P.
