matthcarl Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 The other guys already posted, but I got invited to Ox's place for a grip workout and had a blast. Grippers: I closed Ox's old #2 for a PR VBar: First time for me, and I pulled 200lbs to lockout with my right hand, 180 with the left. Charlie also managed an impressive PR at 200 at a much lower body weight. Rolling Thunder: I pulled 100 easily, then looked foolish at 110 when I couldn't even move it an inch Pinch stuff: I was useless on the blobs, but I did better at hub lifting...I got the 45 easily enough, and Ox posted the video. I tried to hub the 45 lefty as well, but couldn't get it up very high. Bending: I got some good tips on the DO style, and crushed a 1/4"x7" hex and a G5 without too much trouble. I tried the G8, but I called it quits when it was still at 90 degrees after several minutes. Charlie also PR'd on the hex as he mentioned. It was great night for me and I definitely look forward to seeing how these guys do at ggc next week. Quote Name: Matt Carl Runner, Graphomaniac, Steel Bending Fiend

matthcarl Posted August 18, 2007 Author Posted August 18, 2007 7"x1/4" Hex 6"x1/4" G5 Vain attempt at a G8 Here's some pictures of the stuff I bent (or didn't bend) yesterday. My arms are pretty smoked right now, but that worthless G8 is going down one day soon. Quote Name: Matt Carl Runner, Graphomaniac, Steel Bending Fiend

busamad Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Bonzi, if you're updating that chart, I closed an older (non-GR8) COC#2 yesterday from a set. Well done on the close. Congratulations on all the other grip PR`s it sounded a fun day. Can I ask if you jumped from a CoC#1 to a #2 or do you have others in between? Cheers busamad Quote

Cheers busamad I could already easily close the #1 and get within a cm on the #2 the day I got them, so I really was just training for the #2. The only intermediate gripper I have is an HG200, which is barely harder than the #1. Last night, though, I had a pretty good warmup with the T, #1, and #1.5 before I closed the #2.
