Has anyone bought a coc#4 from ironmind lately? I was wondering if they have the coc stamped on the bottom of the handles like the other 2007 grippers.

Last time I checked they had not but that was a while ago, shoot them a email and see.

Yeah they do, I bought mine about a month ago and they are just like the rest of the 2007 grippers.

I just ordered a #4 few days ago, still waiting for it. How's the knurling on these 2007 grippers compared to 2006 models? Still that smooth?

My brand new #4 has excellent knurling, much more better than my #4 2006.

Just out of curiosity, what do you guys mean by "excellent" knurling. I have heard people complain both ways (too sharp/too smooth). I personally like the knurling to be pretty sharp.

Well the 2006 grippers have that smooth knurling and I think most guys like the sharper knurling better. I think only guys that are new to grippers might complain about knurling to be too sharp.

Makes sense. I have some HG grippers that are so smooth they tend to slip. The new COC's I have are much sharper and easier to grip. I'm pretty new, but my hands are already kind of calloused from regular weightlifting and I don't think I could get cut like I heard someone say before.

they've had the coc stamping on the bottom since 2006. I have offered pictures but nobody wants them. :(

I have a 06 #3 that has really really smooth knurling but the knurling on my 3.5 and 2.5 is better/sharper than my 05 #3.

So is that a variation between the 2006 grippers or are the ones with the sharper knurling from 2007?

My 2006 #3 also has pretty lousy knurling. I wonder if this was a trick to sell more grippers... :shifty

I wouldn't know but if the knurling is better on the 2007 grippers, I'm glad. Well my new #4 should be here next week I guess so I'll be able to compare. Wonder if it actually will be a 2007 #4? Or a 2006? I remember ordering two or three #3's in the earlier part of the 2006 and they were all 2005 models. Guess they don't sell that much #3's or #4's as the easier ones, so they will get rid of the older stock first.

Yeah the new #4s are definitely SHARP. They are almost as sharp as the new BB grippers I got so you shouldn't have a problem there.

I think another reason is just because you can always dull the knurling, but I'm guessing it would be very difficult to sharpen (at least not as easy as throwing on some tape).

I ordered a coc#4 for my collection today! I can't wait to feel this beast! :whacked

Just got that new #4 of mine in the mail. Seems to be from 2006, if the year on the package means anything. Knurling isn't as smooth as it is on my 2006 #3, but it isn't as good as it is on the 2005 CoC-grippers either. I wonder how it calibrates (I will get it calibrated). Might be pretty tough even for a #4.

Is coc stamped on the bottom of the handles?

Yes it is. Nice looking gripper, you can't deny that.

My coc#4 arrived today and it has the coc stamped on the bottom of the handles and the GR8 spring like I wanted. But it has one major flaw, when I squeeze it the gripper hardly moves! :blush

As in you can't mash it, sumpthin' like that? Did you try both hands?

At least it shouldn't break too soon.

Haha I think he was joking because it's so difficult. Or are you being sarcastic now? Hmmmmm

What, did he get a difficult #4? :tongue

A healthy dose of tongue-on-cheekiness attached, certainly. All I can say is that if gerry does mash it in the other hand, that toungue has a good chance of getting stuck.
