Tim71 Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I just posted this pic: Regal wrench I've been asked several times about a good "crescent" or adjustable style wrench to start with. This is the Regal 8 inch adjustable wrench. It is absolutely not the same as the ones in the Regal 2 piece and 4 piece sets. I've seen the two side by side and they're nothing alike. This is the easiest "legitimate" adjustable I've run into. I'm not saying it's easy by any means. If you can't phase a 12 inch griprite this wrench will not fold like cheesecake but it is the most doable of the respectable wrenches that I'd ever use in a show. They do vary some like all wrenches and the last one I did was a little harder. Just an FYI post because I've had several ask me about this wrench. It's found the in the bargain bins in th front of alot of hardware stores. It's in the $4.47 bins. Tim Quote
com202 Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Thanks Tim. I'm on a mission the next 2 days to find these and some flat steel. dansweeney Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Thanks Tim! Im going to print it up and carry it with me on my next "wrench hunt". I got a few Companions, and Im not going to bend those any time soon........Great "Iso bars" for now though.....I seem to be struggling with the 8" length. Does Regal have a 10", and how difficult is it? Thanks, Dan Quote
Tim71 Posted August 14, 2007 Author Posted August 14, 2007 Enjoy everybody. I thought this pic might help to locate one. They have popped up on ebay too from time to time. Dan, the regal 10 inchers are different manufacture. I've never tried one but they appear to be much harder. Hope this helps. Tim Quote
dansweeney Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Did anyone find one yet? Im still "Desperately seeking" Dan Quote

dansweeney Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Sorry to bring back this old thread.....But has anyone ever found any of these rascals? Im still trying to find a few with no luck! Quote
Tim71 Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 I'll keep an eye out. The last couple I found were alot tougher according to another board member. I thought the last one I bent felt noticably tougher. Tim Quote
