bowermdw@yahoo.com Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 At the daycare they have a rubber globe to cover the door knobs. It has to be squeezed on the sides to be able to turn the door knob. It keeps the kids from getting out. The first time I squeezed it was painful, and there was not much strength in it. I have since been working with a tennis ball and raquet ball to strengthen this grip. Would a hub from IM be similar, and strengthen this grip by lifting up? It's not the same as rotating while pinching though. Are there any other ways to strengthen this grip? I was thinking of a making machine that can be weighted and that simulates opening a door knob while pinching. Thanks. TTYL, Doug Quote

bowermdw@yahoo.com Posted August 17, 2007 Author Posted August 17, 2007 I have created my new Door Knob Tool. Check it out! I hope I put the link right. If not its in my Pics album. http://www.gripboard.com/uploads/118634572...7_766_40624.jpg It is basically a post bracket attached to a thin heavy wood panel. The bracket is made of aluminum. It has really good balance. I envisioned it pivoting on a pole with weights, but for now it is a trial tool. With the pipe threads in the center I think I could screw on different attachments when I dream them up. Let me know what you think. TTYL, Doug Quote
matthcarl Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Looks interesting. Kind of the same principle as sledge levering, but with a different grip. Quote Name: Matt Carl Runner, Graphomaniac, Steel Bending Fiend
