New Brick Ladder Pinch Grip Setup

Recommended Posts

Posted

After thinking about how to do pinch grip work with bricks I came up with a setup.

I wanted to have progressive weight without changing out the brick or how I hold it.

I created setup with a bunch of bricks tied together like a ladder. I can hold onto the first brick and lift. Every 8 inches another brick gets lifted off of the floor. After a few lifts I realize this is gonna rock my pinch grip.

Sounds like a great idea. Simple, yet effective ideas are the best(as cheesy as that sounds lol).

This is working great. I realize how weak my thumb is when pressing.

As I use the brick ladder I have tried different moves.

There's the quick 1-2-3 pickup.

There's the pickup 1-2-3 and hold each until failure and drop to 1.

There's the pickup 1-2-3-2-1-2-1 until failure.

Great Idea! I have a lot of bricks so I'll try this today. Keep us updated on your progress.

Tonight I could barely get brick 3 off of the floor. But, I did about 10 reps with bricks 1 & 2, for 3 sets. I'm gonna bang out some reps on the grippers now.

I was looking on the net for a picture of the bricks, and I found one here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/spamily/60953588/
