Big Gains In My Hub Lifting.

Thought i would start a seperate thread to report this as it was a real first in my workouts.

Using a 15kg plate as the basis then using smaller plates mounted on the sides of the plate then lifting from the centre hub, i did the following.

Before i did this session my PR in hub lifts was 15kg for BH.

RH:

15kg x 1 x 5

16kg x 1 x 2

16 3/4kg x 1 x 2

17 1/2kg x 1 x 2

18 1/2kg x 0 (lifted as far as knee height)

18kg x 1

18 1/2kg x 1

19kg x 1 PR!!!!!

20kg x 0 x 2

19 1/2kg x 0

LH:

15kg x 1 x 3

16kg x 0

16kg x 1

16 1/4kg x 1

16 3/4kg x 1

17 1/2kg x 1

18kg x 0

18 1/2kg x 1

19kg x 1 PR !!!!!!

20kg x 0

This was a very encouraging session, on the back end of a fairly heavy gripper workout.

I have a 20kg plate but the hub is smaller than my 15kg plate which makes hub lifting off it virtually impossible, so i will continue to train using the 15kg plate then mounting smaller plates on the sides in the future.

If i can get a hold of a 20kg plate that has a better hub on it, i may well be able to do one fairly soon.
