The MGC5 contest was great. But it really showed how weak I have gotten on the grippers. And the sad thing is that the grippers are really the only thing beside DU bending that I was actually training the last month or two. I closed Bob's #3 on my first attempt. Then got the PDA190 (felt like an Easy Elite to me) on my 2nd attempt. Then I failed on the Easy Elite twice and wasn't even close.

I don't have a lot of time anymore to train so the grippers will be great for that. I can hit them when I get home or maybe even bring a few to work. I've broken out the Vice Gripper again and am training TNS closes with it. MMS closes with the few grippers I have. And will add in some CCS work too.

Keep it up buddy :rock

There is a natural order. The way things are meant to be. An order that says the good guys always win, that you die when it's your time or when you have it coming, that the ending is always happy-if only for someone else.

Very nice seeing you back on the grippers.

You crush will be back very quickly I bet.

Good luck!

Thanks a lot guys! I am thinking the same thing that it won't be long before it's back in full. Maybe 3 months of hard training to a Hard Elite again. Maybe longer I don't know for sure. But it sure beats trying to keep my shoulder in socket when bending.

VICE GRIPPER-TNS

8 sets of varying tensions

Notes: Okay and got a decent pump on some of the higher rep sets.

GRIPPERS-MMS

1 set of 10 on the Trainer-right hand

1 set of 1 on the Easy #3-right hand

10 sets of 1 on the Hard #3-right hand

Notes: Some were solid closes and others were just barely. Missed on 2 attempts. Those aren't counted here of course. All in all feeling pretty good.

1 set of 10 on the Trainer-left hand

3 sets of 1 on the Easy #3-left hand

Notes: Very weak closes and missed the Easy #3 on 3 attempts. It's not recovering well.

Some nice workouts here Ben!

Ive moved to San Antonio to go to UTSA and left behind all my grip stuff except a few grippers so they will be my main squeeze for awhile too.

Thanks for the votes of confidence guys. Still fired up and did some training today.

VICE GRIPPER-TNS

5 sets of varying tensions.

GRIPPERS-MMS

1 set of 10 on the Trainer-right hand

1 set of 1 on the Easy #3-right hand

2 sets of 1 on the Hard #3-right hand

1 set of 2 on the Hard #3-right hand

1 set of 3 on the Hard #3-right hand

3 attempts on the Heavy Elite-right hand

Notes: Any day I rep the Hard #3 is a good day. Was closing it pretty solidly today. Not even close with the Heavy Elite. It's not going to be closed soon Scott. Sorry buddy. But it is good to train with.

1 set of 10 on the Trainer-left hand

4 sets of 1 on the Easy #3-left hand

3 attempts on the Hard #3-left hand

Notes: Good solid closes on the Easy #3 today finally. Left forearm is still tweaked and off in strength. But I still got close on the Hard #3.

BRACED BENDING

1/2"X18" HRS to 2" in 4 minutes and 54 seconds. New length PR for me. Fought it all the way. No let up at all. Tweaked my forearm more.

Thanks again guys.

John I can't wait until the next time I close your Hard Elite. You know it was only a few times when I was feeling strong anyway. It'll be a while again.

VICE GRIPPER-TNS

Notes: Great pump. Not too hard because it was before I went to work and I wasn't very warmed up. Didn't matter though.

GRIPPERS-MMS

1 set of 15 on the Trainer-right hand

1 set of 1 on the Easy #3-right hand

1 set of 1 on the Hard #3-3 Finger Close-right hand

1 set of 1 on the Hard #3-right hand

Notes: First time trying the Hard #3 with 3 fingers actually. Got it but it was pretty hard. Not listing left hand stuff today.

BRACED BENDING

5/8"X32" HRS to almost 90 degrees

Notes: Good workout in itself.

8-7-07

GRIPPERS-MMS

1 set of 10 on the Trainer-right hand

2 sets of 1 on the Easy #3-right hand

2 sets of 1 on the Hard #3-right hand

Notes: All good strong closes on my right hand. Not listing my left hand right now because I'm having some tweaked forearm issues with it but it should clear up in a few days hopefully.

GRIPPERS-CCS

1 set of 3 on the Easy #3-right hand

Notes: These were done strict and with a pause between each rep. Long enough to place the credit card between the handles, but not long enough to get anything near a helpful "rest".

GRIPPERS-TNS

1 set of 1 on the Easy #3-right hand

Notes: Still felt pretty strong. I've gotten 3 before so this is nothing special. But my TNS (and all sets) strength is still down noticeably from my peak.

BRACED BENDING

1/2"X16" HRS to @20 degree kink in 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Didn't have the strength to finish it off. Soon it'll die.

VICE GRIPPER-TNS

11 sets of varying tensions.

Notes: Did some easy reps and then went progressively higher for triples and singles. Got 6&11 on the right for a single and 7&9 on the left for a single.
