hab34buy Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Being new to serious grip stuff in general and having no real experience with bending (at least not yet... but this will change within a few months I'm planning), could anyone explain the clippet with the weight (barbell) in the crook of the arm... i.e. how does one get any leverage in this position at all? I've not seen that before. Impressive stuff by the way Quote Jared "JW" Walker Goals: To Reach Tomorrow What I Couldn't Today
David Horne Posted July 26, 2007 Author Posted July 26, 2007 jw7, She just kind of rotated her wrists to bend the nail. Hope this helps. David Quote

Tim71 Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Wow! I actually took the time to let that one load on my ultra-slow connection. Tell the misses I'm extremely impressed! Having tried or done a majority of those type bends myself, I can attest to how hard they are. I've heard of people doing bottle caps but I had no idea what they meant. I may have to try that one. Looks painful though. Outstanding show of strength. Plus, but you're living the life, having the misses interested in the same sport / hobby as you. I can't personally immagine that. Well-rounded strength Elizabeth! Tim Quote

Tim71 Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Question David. Is Elizabeth actually bending a bar around and around her leg from bottom to top? Hard to tell with my bad picture quality. Tim Quote
David Horne Posted July 27, 2007 Author Posted July 27, 2007 Tim, Elizabeth says thank you. Yes, she is bending that long bar round her leg from her foot to the top of her thigh. It's called the 'steel stocking', and we got this piece welded to a plate and it stands in our living room. I think it looks awesome! Her strength and fitness (4 fitness sessions a week), is getting more rounded all the time. She has Britain's Strongest Woman comp in 2 weeks time. David Quote
