wscorpion Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Just received the one hand lift handle which I ordered by David Horne, and it definitely is a huge difference compared to the one I created myself. The one I created consists of a 5" pipe of approx. 3/4" in diameter. I've placed a bolt inside it with on both ends a chain and so making a V form. With that handle I could lift 115kg (253lbs) at max when I had a good day since it rolled and was too small to hold it securely. With this new handle (solid steel, not rolling) I started adding weight until I reached 160kg (352lbs). I felt this was enough for a first try. The "problem" I encounter with this handle is not the strength in my hands, I'm sure I could have lifted a lot more, but the feeling of my skin ripping apart. It hurts like hell Nevertheless I am very happy with the result although I still have a long way to go before I can lift a really respectable weight with this handle Just wanted to share this with you guys since as most of you will probably know already, the handle can really make the difference. In this case a difference of at least 100lbs! Now I just need to toughen up my hands to improve my one hand lifts, can't wait for the next session !! I'm happy with the result, but still I know I can do more if my hands don't hurt that much Quote Mark Vogels -------------------- "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right."
