Halldin Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I recently closed my CoC 2,5. I was wondering what that gripper would equal, approximately, in say RB grippers. I saw an old list (from this site I think, but I'm not sure) that placed it several grippers below RB210, but by the RB210/CoC 2,5 I've tested, I don't agree at all. So, what do you guys think? Quote
egg_uk Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 i would say the rb210 was harder, and the BBSM Quote Goals Get Stronger Lift what I haven't lifted Close what I haven't closed
pdfk20 Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 My 2.5 is marginally harder than my RB240N, don't own a RB260N but it must be on the same level as a 2.5 or thereabouts Quote Pete Kerr, 165lbs Goals: Close current hard #3 Dominate #3 again 16/06/12 CCS several hard #3's, MM2 replica etc #3 Cert MMS #3.5 Close a brand new #3.5 out of the packet MM3 100kg 2HP Finish in the top 3 in this years WSH under 82.5kg class

Nm, found the list in the faq-section "RB180 RB240N PDA262 RB260N .273 COC 2006 #2.5 238 lbs HG300 .275 BB Super Master 255 lbs GM2 cert Gripper RB210 HG400 .281 BB Grand Master 280 lbs .281 COC #3 280 lbs" I probably squeezed an easy RB210 then. CoC#3 Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 RB210 is a harder gripper than an RB240N generally. The RB210 (i've felt a few of them, and own one) usually falls in the 2.6-2.8 range depending on the #3 you are comparing them to. I also have an RB240C which is a narrow RB240 cert gripper. This is in the 2.5 range. The BBSM is almost dead on a 2.5 strength aswell, well, the one i repped out before the iron grip was. I've heard these vary a lot though. I haven't ever felt an IM #2.5. Alawadhi Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 The one I owned was like a very hard #2. Not extremly hard #2 but a hard #2. Around 2.4-2.5. Quote Read about me in my biography. Hubgeezer Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 My own personal grippers: RB210 2.5 RB240N 2.6 Supermaster 2.7 IMind 2.5 2.7 RB260N 2.75 That being said, a couple of years ago, Dale Harder had a brand new RB210 that I couldn't close, I would put at 2.8. The British Iron Grip Championships had a Supermaster rated at 2.46. I gave a Supermaster to my son that I would rate at that level as well. I believe that BB grippers have slightly less variability than other brands. I don't know if that is the experience of others or not. The most BB variability I have seen personally is ".3" of a gripper(Supermaster 2.4 vs 2.7). I have two RB160's, one is a 1.6, and one is 2.3 plus. I traded away an IM #2 a couple of years ago, my 1999 "Baby 2" of 1.8. My favorite gripper is a 1999 IM #2 that I put at 2.6. I am a California licensed Certified Public Accountant. Koura Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 My rb210 is 2.35 and my #2.5 is 2.70 on coc-scale. Those are calibrated with redneck gripper calibrator Quote Niko Eerola, Finland http://www.youtube.c...ser/Ombombo#p/u
