Tim71 Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Okay, big thanks to Scott for volunteering to download my video. I wanted to film something that was a little different for my first video so here it is. This is the complete 5 piece set of craftsman open end "tappet" wrenches like you see some of the professional strongmen bend. Highly tempered and very springy. What you will see is me taking my time a little too much on most of them because #1 I wanted to keep them in one piece and try to keep them from breaking, which is also why I decided to just get them to under 90 degrees, and #2 because I'm still leary about things snapping on me. Now that I've got my first vid up, I'll just let the next batch snap if they want to. I've snapped the big 3/4 before and I could've easily took anyone of these down further but like I said I wanted to keep some in one piece. They're in order from smallest to biggest with the last 2 being the 5/8 by 11/16 which you see a couple famous strongman bend, and the last is the 3/4 by 7/8. The vid is in 2 parts due to the length. Here's part #1 and here's part 2 Let me know if the vid works for everybody and if Scott has figured it out for me we'll be in business. Thanks again Scott! Tim Quote

gazza Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Congrats TIM nice show of braced bending strength you made it look easy which shows how strong you are that 3/4" looks a beast. Quote "There he goes. Tim71 Posted July 7, 2007 Author Posted July 7, 2007 Thanks guys and I can't thank Scott enough to figuring this out and doing this for me. The 3/4 is a tough one. The first 3/4 I did a while back was actually a little tougher than this one and took me longer. I think I might actually be able to do this feat in a show and not take too much out of me. I've just got to accept the fact that it may snap and get over it. Actually in my show I did a 9/16 and did it fast and tried to make it snap and it didn't. Go figure. There will be more vids for sure. Tim Quote
Scott Styles Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 It's more impressive when they snap IMO. Scary though. After the first one snapped, the whole video I was anxiously watching when you crushed them down. Happy to help with the videos, watching someone else doing the braced bending is the best way for me to learn. Quote You don't get a dog and do the barking yourself.
