gazza Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Brendan does that effect how long you can sustain your energy/endurance for or is it controllable with diet. Quote "There he goes. ox3782 Posted July 7, 2007 Author Posted July 7, 2007 I have type 1 also. We will have to compare some notes Scott I really was not sure if I was going to find anyone!! Brendan does that effect how long you can sustain your energy/endurance for or is it controllable with diet. Gazza it can be quite interesting I cant compare recovery time to before I had diabetes since I was not really doing much bending before I had it.If itt does have an effect I not letting it bother me and trying to work with what I have.Type one I feel is much more controlable than type two because of insulin and the new testing equipment is good stuff once I find my ratio of carbs to units of insulin and stay at a stable body weight. Its quite controlable.Just have to make sure your sugar is right before starting a bend session you dont want to end up low in the middle of a bend session it sucks. As far as sustaining energy if the sugar is stable I can build some great endurance.Thats what I am working on now with the iso's.They are awesome!! jad Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 My brother is type 1 and he used to bend quite a bit. He just lost interest in the sport but he never had any complications from bending/grip and DB. My only concern would be if the person isn't well controlled, then injures their hands (blister, tear, whatever) and now they have an injury on an extremity that isn't getting the blood flow it should so it could become a bigger injury.
