try everything!..if  reps  don't help, try negatives..if  negatives don't  work, try two hand squeezes..(  closing two  grippers at a  time- one  in each hand--I  find  double handed squeezes to  be   very  productive )....plate loaded gripper.... try  reps.... reps aren't  as  hard on the body, if   negatives  and  singles aren't  helping, try reps!.... whenever  you  find  yourself  not  making  progress.... try something  different.....however, give  each  type of trainning a  reasonable amount of time to  find out whether or not  your  making  progress....  best wishes

Two words : strap holds. Done 3 times a week, they'll give you some very good core strength. Check the grip FAQ for a very good description.

Shame on you, Tou!!  You forgot to tell us your latest progress on the #3!  :)

I closed it 3 times so far, 3 certifiable closes. I touch the handles on many occasions but I don't consider it a good crush. I'm now closing my PDA 325 at least 3 consecutive attempts for holds of 3-4 secs. This PDA 325 is 2-3% less than my #3 in terms of difficulty. I'll certify when I'll totally master the #3 everyday I try it. Like Terminator did.
