wscorpion Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I've been bending for a few months now, and I've tried to get certified on several bends as well. What confuses me the most is the different rules applied to different lists. From what I've seen we have: Ironmind: - Ironmind Red Nail - Under 1 minute - only IM Pads - U shape FBBC: - FBBC stock - under 5 minutes - all padding accepted as long as it is not rigid - 2" or less David Horne's braced list: - HRS stock commonly available - Under 5 minutes - all padding accepted as long as it is not rigid - 2.5" or less The Gripboard: - allow accepted bends on the FBBC and IM lists - otherwise under 2 minutes - no rigid material in padding - 2" or less I was under the impression that the GB also applied a 5 minute time frame, so I asked Frankyboy to certify me for the 6" Red. He told me the rules here are 2 minutes max, so I will bend it again... However, it would have been a lot easier if I knew the different rules applied to different lists in advance. I know most of the lists have their own rules stated somewhere, but IMO it would be a lot easier to have a list of all the lists and their different rules for quick reference. Anyone knows of any other lists or rules that are different between lists then the ones just summed above? Thanks, Mark. vikingsrule92 Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I think that's about it. Although GB doesn't accept FBBC bends because they are 5 mins or less, where as it MUST be inside 2 mins for GB. Frankboy told me this when certing on the 5.5" G5 (although I was inside the time limit nonetheless). This would be pretty helpful if stickied so no one has to search around for cert rules. Quote

Of course I did find David's rules because of his thread with the new lists, but also FBBC rules were a bit hard to find Hence the question for having an overview of the different lists, their common and their different rules Quote Mark Vogels -------------------- "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right."
David Horne Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Mark, Yes, we had a lovely time in Italy. We stayed in a farmhouse near Jesi in the Marches region. It was very hot and quiet! We did some bending and fitness training whilst we were there. David Quote

David It's called a holiday, that means rest and no bending and fitness as well I'm glad you've had a nice holiday, I've never been to Italy but I know several people who grew up there and they all say it's a great country to go on holiday Can't wait for my holiday, it's time to take some rest off of work, but still have to wait 3 weeks for it.. Btw, I've bent the 13" 12mm braced about a week ago, it was quite a fight on a sunday morning but I've got it Quote Mark Vogels -------------------- "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right."
