I just saw a flyer for a strengh show. It was named John Jacobs something. Apparently they are a team going to perform at a local church.

Anyone know who this is or what they do? I might have to check it out.

Several years ago I watched the "Power Team" perform - they put on a real good show with some strong people up on stage. Well worth it in my opinion.

When people used to ask him how it was he became so incredibly strong, it was always the same, "strengthen your mind, the rest will follow". The Mighty Atom

I think John Jacobs use to break police handcuffs, I've seen those guys

rip phonebooks and roll frying pans. They put on a good show.

I've seen them in person when they were the original power team.

Here's the back ground. John Jacobs founded the power team years ago and went for many years. Few years ago he resigned for whatever reason and about the same time most of the original members or fairly longstanding members formed team impact. Mike Hagen started his own group and now John Jacobs has a new group. They are incredible athletes but I'm not sure how much into old-time feats or grip strength most of them are. I know Keenan Smith who is how with team impact does nail driving and rips 2 decks of cards so he may be more aware of the old-time feats than anyone.

I remember John Jacobs benched over 600 lbs, he was about 6 foot 3 or so and weighed like 320 lbs. I've seen him break 2 pairs of handcuffs behind his back, I've seen him coil a 1/2 inch steel bar that was probably 4.5 foot long into 3 complete coils and he's ripped 2 of the old style steel license plates but you could tell they had a slit to start them but still it looked amazingly hard.

I've seen them in person (couple groups actually) and it's very much worth going. There's alot of break breaking too which never was my thing but alot of the common folk really seem to like that stuff.

Good research too so you can see what people's reactions are to the various feats.

There is a similar thing here in Norway called Team Xtreme Vikings www.txvikings.com

It's a group of former jailbirds who has found God.

Saw em this weekend. Bent heavy steelbars in their mouths, tore phonebooks, smashed bricks with their bare hands etc.

Very impressive
