Tim71 Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Okay, I cranked out a dozen or so vids on my VHS-C (stop laughing now) then converted them to DVDs on my TV type DVD recorder. As most know I've got a slow-as-snot dial-up and can't do vids the usual way. Anyway, I thought a friend of mine could download some vids for me but he just told me that the DVDs are in a "udf format" and he couldn't download them or convert them or whatever. Anybody know any tricks or can this be done? He's not a computer genius so it doesn't mean that it can't be done. I was sore from my show but I still managed to crank out the quickest FBBC 80d bend I've ever done and a few other pretty good bends that I'd rather not say until I somehow get them to surface. I cranked out a couple spikes in a couple different styles that I use since I get asked that from time to time so I'm right there and I even already registered a youtube account but once more dissappointment has bit me. Any fellow benders out there know what the trick is I can pass along to my friend? Tim Quote
acorn Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Here is a free tool you could use VOB2MPG to rip the DVD to MPEG so you can upload it. http://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/dvd...-2-t305930.html - Aaron Quote ** Retired **
Scott Styles Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 This might be a starting point: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321640 Worst case, if you can copy the DVD or are comfortable mailing out the only copy, I can give you my address and give ripping it a shot. Shoot me a PM if it gets to that point. Quote You don't get a dog and do the barking yourself.
wscorpion Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 is the program I've downloaded for this. I had the same problem. You can download a free trial for 30 days, the only disadvantage is that you will see the adobe logo in the upperright corner of the video (see my latest videos). Here's the link: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cf...amp;loc=en%5Fus For the rest, if you find a freeware tool, then I'm definitely interested as well Quote Mark Vogels -------------------- "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right."
