fartmonkey64 Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Should I get a 2" wrist roller by FBB or make my own our of PVC pipe. Quote
Scott Styles Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 FBBC, then you can compare with what others are doing on it. Quote You don't get a dog and do the barking yourself.
TelegraphKey Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Home-made WR has a "bump" because the rope knot on the inside of the WR comes in contact with the bar on the inside everytime you rotate it over the top. (This is assuming you mount the WR on some thinner bar, like the spot-bars inside a power rack/squat rack. Having the wrist roller stabilized about 4-5 feet above the ground allows you to really pack on weight without making it a deltoid exercise.) Believe us, the "bump" is very, very, very annoying. It's really pleasant to use a dedicated, stabilized WR and your forearms really burn. Steve B. Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 I have several diffrent brands of wrist rollers. The IM,NYBB,homemade and FB. My favorites are the fat bastards. They are smooth(won't tear up your hands like the others),well made and come in various sizes.I have three diffrent sizes and about seven diffrent types of wrist rollers. Unless your doing them outside a powerrack the homemade ones as said can be annoying as already mentioned. I would get the 2"from FBCC. Quote
climber511 Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 Not taking anything from a professionally made wrist roller but the "lump" is completely unnecessary - just tie a timber hitch on the pipe and put a couple layers of duct tape over the knot - it will hold anything you can roll on it and won't give you the bump when placed over a rack pin - bar etc. Quote When people used to ask him how it was he became so incredibly strong, it was always the same, "strengthen your mind, the rest will follow". TelegraphKey Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 It will still wobble around the bar unless its inner diameter is almost as tight as the diameter of the bar it rolls around on. Which still isn't a perfect justification for a professional wrist roller. A forearm pump in any manner is still cool! NHBBareKnuckler Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Making your own would work fine but when you're talking about the quality put out by FBBC, buy their product. Quote
