jst Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 Sup dudes. I got a quick question that I know has probably been answered before, but I am unsure what to query in the search. I have a COC #1, 2, 2.5, 3. I use the 1 as a warm-up and the 2 for a about 5 reps. During school they started squeaking pretty good and I didn't take any time to get some wd-40. I finally get some wd-40 and I am able to do about 10 reps on the 2 and the 1 well it was alot easier too. Did I compromise my grippers and make them easier due to the heat caused by the friction? P.S. I probably did 125-175 reps on the 2 during pre-wd40 and 2-3x that on the 1. Thanks Quote

Thanks I wouldn't worry about your grippers, i'm sure i remember reading about another grip board member leaving there grippers until they got a bit rusty, and he still never gave them any oil as you can imagine, this makes them harder to close and i believe this was the whole point to it as you'd have to get even stronger to close a rusty old CoC i'm sure someone can back me up on that point, as i remember reading it here not so long ago. cheers Quote
makey98 Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 Jedd Johnson said that. He had an elite I think that was rusted and it made it harder and he got stronger and when he finally oiled it up he mashed it. Quote Current Goals: COC #2.5 45# blob R-Grade 5/G8 DO Deck of cards <10 sec.
