alexnko Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I have been a big fan of weightlifting using very light weight increment jumps. I have recently bought a Formulator with the olympic weight horn. The smallest plate you can buy is 2-1/2lbs. I went to a commerical bolt and fastener store and bought 2 inch ID washers with a 3-1/4 in OD, that just happen to weigh 10 oz. a piece. 2 of these washers are exactly half the weight of a 2-1/2 lb olympic plate. Now I can take 1-1/4 lb jumps in my wrist training program. Quote

HAMMERHEAD Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Here's a good way to increase the weight for the formulator. The formulator works on a leverage principle. After you've progressed where you need to add more weight move the small plate one plate closer to your hands. Every workout, move the small plate one plate closer to your hands. This moves the heavier plates further away from your hands. Technically, the weight is the same but since it works on a leverage principle you will have to work harder. -HH Quote
