gazza Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Just before i got injured me playing around with some 8mms x 7inch stainless. I tried to do it Tommy Heslep style but only got a little kink in it so switched over to a mix of other styles. Heres the youtube link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtWS0-m9qy0 Quote "There he goes. One of gods own prototypes. Tim71 Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 "Playing around with 8mm stainless". That in and of itself says something. That bend would get you into the top 20 easily and you're playing with it. Amazing! Tim Quote
ox3782 Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 That is some sick strength and pain tolerance Gazza that is one thing I do nto think I will be after the barehanded anyhow. Awesome bend though great and and painful to watch!!!!! Brendan Quote Brendan Dwyer | 6'1" | 204lbs | 7 7/8 inch hand

EricMilfeld Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Correct me if I'm wrong, Gazza, but to be able to bend something of that magnitude without permanently injuring your hands requires that it be went with very poor leverages, making the bend all the more impressive. For example, you can't simply apply all the pressure to sharp ends of the bars as you would with wraps, but it requires displacing the load over the side of the bar, as well. Of course I've only bent a couple of easy nails barehanded, but that was my experience, anyways. Incredible stuff! Quote

Eric Thats correct you will see that i try not to make any sudden moves so i dont get punctured and ofcoarse i dont directly push into the ends of the bar for this reason. I can bend a shiny bastard quite easilly but without the wraps its obviously the pain factor that stops me just blasting into the bar and i also try to be precise on were i put the bar in my hands and how and were i apply pressure to trhe sides of the bar. I went through alot of 6mms stainless practising for this i dont think it could be done completely by the DO style. I would like to be able to pull off this by getting it nearly fully bent Tommy Heslep style and barehanded. Quote "There he goes. One of gods own prototypes. dimmers Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 WOW! i suppose one of the perks of being off sick from work today is i get to watch this vid as many times as i like!!! i've tried starting off some easy UK nails in that style and it is ridiculously difficult Is it me, or do Gazza's forearms transform when they come in contact with stainless??? everything seems normal, but as soon as they touch the steel, i believe even the incredible hulk would be jealous of those forearms on a more serious note, its great to see some more of your vids Gazza, if you've got any more lurking around then please put them up when you have the time (and as Tim said, i too am running out of words to describe your bends as of late!!!) liam.mccaffrey Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 i don't know if anyone has had cause to have to trap a badger but, a similar thing to gazzas forearms happens. As soon as you get that trapping noose around its neck the badger tenses up and kind of swells in size and becomes all defined. its quite scary a bit like gazza Quote
