gaster Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 I was reverse bending a bit yesterday when something weird happened. It seemed like my top hand, (right), slipped and there was a popping noise. I think my right index finger might have popped out of the joint at the knuckle. I could not continue with the bend because the hand hurt and that joint did not move too well after that. This morning it hurts more, is a bit swollen, and I can't move it much. It doesn't look too bad so I hope it came out and went back in place where it should be. Has anyone had this happen before? If so how long was it before you were back to normal? Quote
dimmers Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 probably best to get some advice from your doctor. If you don't want to do that, then lots of ice and plenty of rest i'd say. Not happened to me though, so i'm not the best one to give advice. hope it gets better! Quote
AP Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Ow! Ice and a lot of rest probably will heal it Quote Pastrami on Wry
Autolupus Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Go and see your GP. Sounds like a dislocation but check it out with your doctor! Quote Mike Mackenzie. Luceo non uro.
Alawadhi Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 I don't think it's dislocation because if it was that then he wouldn't type this message online since his fingers are hurting him. Check with a doctor for safety reasons if not rest and ice like the other said. Quote Read about me in my biography. gaster Posted June 11, 2007 Author Posted June 11, 2007 I have to type with my left. I can't pick up even a cup of coffee with my right. Any pressure to the side of the finger really hurts. Also if I leave it hang normal by my side it throbs a bit. ROM at that knuckle is pretty small too. I just uploaded pics of both hands to my gallery but maybe it's hard to see anything from those. If it doesn't feel and move a lot better tomorrow, which it probably won't, I'll just have to go in and get it looked at. Quote

I would go and see your doctor as soon as possible by the sounds of it, that sounds quite severe! I hope all is ok! Be careful with that hand for the time being until you get to your doctor, by the sounds of it you should rest it competely if possible. Quote
