bencrush Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 This time within the 5 minute time limit. Haven't reviewed the video yet or figured out how to upload it from my Handycam. But the time is under 3 minutes. Monumental thanks to Scott Harris for coming over (he had a hell of a day too, but that's another story) and bringing the NOS drink to add to my 16 cups of coffee that I drank before he even showed up. I was literally shaking all over on the crushdown. Thought I was going to fall apart but held on to get it under 2". Now my shoulders get the well-deserved rest they so deserve. The only DO bending I have planned from now to the contest is some testing I'm doing with Rob's stock and a few attempts on some 11/32" Stainless that's coming my way. It's good to be a Bending Gangster. I'll send the video (when I figure out how to upload it) to John and see if I can make it official. Thanks as usual to all the guys who've inspired, corresponded, encouraged, motivated and even naysayed me over the years. It's all helped. Couldn't have done it without all the help. Take care guys. Thanks Scott! It was a great day for both of us, wasn't it? Measured the off center part of the bend at 5/16". Sure would have been nice not to have bent it off center in the first place. Quote

GetAGrip87 Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 I wouldn't suggest ever drinking that much coffee, I think Ben has built up a tolerance. The NOS works wonders though. Tastes good too. Tim71 Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 WOW! I knew you could do it buddy! That is great. All this from the guy who had to "brace bend the yellow and above" at one time in his life. That's just crazy progress. Very inspiring. I can't immagine the crush on that stuff. You deserve it and have inspired me through many milestones. Tim Quote
