gothrik Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Has anyone ever Pinched gripped 4 25s? Is this even do-able? What would be the width of that? CoC#3 Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 1. Not a chance - it would be like lifting a 100lb blockweight! When i first did 3 25s with 1 hand i tried 4 with 2 hands - still nothing! 2. 140mm/5.5'' using most 25s i've played with. Plates vary a lot though. Quote real name: Sam Solomi

lifesnotfair Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Maybe someone could do FOUR 10 kilograms discs. (4 x 22lb) before doing the 25's. In Europe they also have 7.5kg plates which would be a good stepping stone, and I bet someone could maybe grab 5 of those one day? Quote
BRETTY1 Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Im on my way of doing 4x7.5kg as doing 3x7.5kg and holding them for 30sec hopefully soon it will be the 4 Quote
Alawadhi Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 1. Not a chance - it would be like lifting a 100lb blockweight! 100LB blockweight will be easier because you dont have to grab harder to stop the plates from slipping. viper Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Has anyone ever Pinched gripped 4 25s? Is this even do-able? What would be the width of that? If anyone has they would be a BEAST well no cuss its 10kg here in the UK, but yeh i have pinched 4 of em, with both my hands though, if your meaning one hand then i donno, maybe Chad Woodhall could do 4 10kg, ive only managed 4 7.5kg with a bar through one handed - with 4 10kg its definately the width thats the problem, when i did it with two hands i got it about 6in off an held if for a couple seconds, an then BOOM!! it just exploded, some plates actually flew into my wall, was like a bomb went off! >with the width your holding em right at the top, so if a plate slips its just gonna pop, gotta watch ya feet Quote http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=savvy22

Depends on how wide the block is... here's another question to ask: who will pinch lift three 45 pound plates?? Quote "I have always been strong. OldGuy Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 4 x 25 is only 10lbs more than 2 x 45. I am sure that the likes of Wade and a few others could do it. I also feel that 7 x 10 is doable. Quote Not afraid to ruffle feathers!

It's just a question of the strength aswell as dedicating myself to wide pinching for a while. Edited June 9, 2007 by CoC#3 Quote real name: Sam Solomi
David Horne Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 John, I think it all depends on the discs on these Pinch plate feats. David Quote
OldGuy Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 David I agree on the plates. The thicknes of the plate, the form of the lip, the slickness of the paint, and how perfectly flat they are, all make a big difference. Quote Not afraid to ruffle feathers!
