wscorpion Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 I've been looking at various online stores (choice of champions, etc) but couldn't find one which sells blobs. I'd like to give a blob a try so i want to buy one, but where? What are the actual dimensions of a blob? Maybe it's worth making one of wood and add additional weight to it. Thanks! - Mark Quote Mark Vogels -------------------- "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right."
egg_uk Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 use the search function, there are loads of posts on blobs and their dimensions, and that they are just half of and old york dumbbell that isnt made anymore. Quote Goals Get Stronger Lift what I haven't lifted Close what I haven't closed
Damien Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 www.heavygriptools.ch.vu sells blockweights with dimensions similar to the york-blobs. Quote Inofficial owner of GorillaBarbell's "The Jungle"... "You sir are Dinosaur Training gone Crazy" - Shooter
kell0ggs Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 There are shops in the USA which offer you an address to send the blob to. If the blob arrives there you pay some fee and they forward it to europe. Not cheap but a custom made one isn't cheap, too. kell0ggs Quote
egg_uk Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 in honks log he talks about using a baraban blob, so ask him if robert still makes them Quote Goals Get Stronger Lift what I haven't lifted Close what I haven't closed
Koura Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 www.heavygriptools.ch.vu sells blockweights with dimensions similar to the york-blobs. Really? For me they look more flat than real Blobs. Quote Niko Eerola, Finland http://www.youtube.c...ser/Ombombo#p/u
makey98 Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 (edited) I would look at the PDA Blobette. I personally don't have one, but they have been given good reviews on this board and I have given it serious consideration. I will probably get one sometime in the future. It is basically a blob replica that is hollow so that you can load it with shot or something so it shouldn't cost too much to ship it to the Netherlands. Plus it allows you to microload it. Lastly, they are a gripboard sponser! PDA blobette Edited May 31, 2007 by makey98 Quote Current Goals: COC #2.5 45# blob R-Grade 5/G8 DO Deck of cards <10 sec.

They're not exactly the same, they have sharper edges than york-blockweights, but the slope isn't that far from the yorks... Quote Inofficial owner of GorillaBarbell's "The Jungle"...
