androushka Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Sorry if this has been beaten to death, I'm new here, trying to soak up the info, but haven't found any guidlines to this one thing: Is pinch-strength specific to the angle/range you train with? How thick should the object I'm pinching in training be? I'm just starting out. Thanks for any input! Quote
Cunny Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 There is an article by David Horne on the Diesel website that explains how to determine pinch thickness Quote
shorn Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 David Horne also has a pinch dvd that covers that topic.Highly recommended. Quote
makey98 Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 The short answer is yes. Obviously if you strengthen your thumbs, all of your pinching will improve, but if you need to train all ranges of your pinch to become more rounded. That is why some people can pinch 2-35's or 2-45's, but can't lift the blob, their pinching strength is in a narrow range.
