wscorpion Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 (edited) Today i received my order of 25 Red Nails and IM pads. As you can imagine i just had to give the Red's a try. For the initial kink i used the IM wraps + a small piece of towel since my index fingers are really hurting from all the bending i did lately. From then on i only used IM pads. So about the bend: After the kink i had to stop for a few seconds (20 or so) to give my fingers some rest, it really hurted like hell. After that i removed the extra pieces of towel to continue in the cert way. It took all my power to continue bending the thing, but finally i got it. From kink to crush down that thing was very hard and after i finished the Red, i tried a 5/16 7" HRS which didn't even wanted to move anymore. I was really drained! Since i managed to get the Red nail, i decided to take at least a week off of bending for now until my index fingers are back to their original shape and feeling again and then i will try the Red once more with only IM pads, make a video of it, and give the 6" Red (which i've already cut down) a try as well. I'm confident i can get that 6" as well once my fingers are healed photo of the Red nail: http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?automod...si&img=5827 I have 25 of those things (24 left now), once i can bend them consistantly i will see if i can get certified by IM. That would be a nice addition to my training Edited May 22, 2007 by White Scorpion Quote Mark Vogels -------------------- "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right."
dimmers Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Great work on that Red! my hat off to you getting it with those IM pads as well (cos i really don't like them). Once you rest up for a week you'll get it no problem! well done again, that is a really great achievement!!! Quote

wscorpion Posted May 22, 2007 Author Posted May 22, 2007 (edited) Thanks guys! Filip VK, i'm sure you will get it, just keep on going! To be honest i think those IM pads are great. Ok, they are terrible to wrap, but once wrapped they give me so much more protection then the pieces of towels and cloths i was using until now. Maybe that's why my hands are so sore and my fingers hurt so much Edited May 22, 2007 by White Scorpion Quote Mark Vogels -------------------- "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right."

Well, for now i'm happy with the IM pads, and if i can keep using them to bend really big steel, then why not I'm crazy enough to eventually give a red a try without any padding, so who knows Quote Mark Vogels -------------------- "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right."
