Thanks for posting this Frank! What's worth mentioning is, that eventually Chad did get the weight right handed, I did it both hands.. So we are tied right handed :D

Theo seems to place his hand in a very deliberate manner, Chad just seems to grasp it.

Yup, I do! As far as stance, dunno, I like my feet to be parallel. But as far as my hand placing, I can't explain, but when I place it I move it around until it 'feels' just right. Going by calousses, it pretty much lies diagonally in my hand.

Quick Question:

There seems to be a collar slid down over the vbar to lock the weights into place, is that correct?

I've never seen that before...

Theo is a v-bar monster! :rock

Thanks Joe!

Yup, that is correct, it's to not let the weights be too loose because we were using olympic plates... It does not make any difference though IMO..

Smitty it like small vbar sleaves. The Id in slightly larger the Vbar and the OD is about the od of a oly bar end. It was nice because all of the weight stayed centered but did not lock the weight down.

A new person to this grip stuff asks:

"Why is the bar called a V bar? It looks like an "I" bar to me."

A new person, having not bothered searching, might realize that the V stands for 'vertical'.
