wscorpion Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Just found these videos on youtube: This makes me wonder, what could she do with a Red Nail for example Quote Mark Vogels -------------------- "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right."
Alawadhi Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 She's a fake. I used to be a magician and I could (still can) bend AND twist a fork/spoon. Even I can let YOU twist the fork. But can't twist it like what she does (several times). Probably her "trick" is more advanced. The trick I learned was from old DVD (probably 4 to 5 years) and magic community is way better than before. So the bottom line is she is a FAKE. Quote Read about me in my biography. The problem is i never see those things with my own eyes and with my own spoon. I would like to see here giving it a try when i select the spoon. But on the other hand, with the power of the mind you can perform nice things.... Quote Mark Vogels -------------------- "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right."

The problem is i never see those things with my own eyes and with my own spoon. I would like to see here giving it a try when i select the spoon. But on the other hand, with the power of the mind you can perform nice things.... It comes down to mathematics and steel strength. An ordinary spoon is above 8". An ordinary spoon has great width (>1/4") but are most likely very thin (<1/8"). Since you are going to wind it several times you need to make sure the turns lines up in a slightly stepped fashion. So in conclusion; a spoon is considerably easier to bend than a nail. For each turn it becomes harder to bend it, but for each turn friction induce heat that makes it easier. So if you explode at it and have a grip that extends far in angle and could easily be regripped, this is no big feat. Try for yourself. It is not hard though (= no fun). There is a video with an old lady sitting down that bends a huge spoon. It looks impressive - but this spoon is >10", so it is in fact easier. Off topic, but still kindof funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gkcu6GdzyC4 Quote
