Got My Fbbc Shipment Over The Weekend

Well, I finally got my FBBC shipment Saturday. Come to find out Fex Ex had it for who know's how long since they couldn't find my house. I had just decided that I was going to rest up since I'd been doing all the braced bending and other things and then this box had to come in and tempt me. And I succumbed. I had ordered a variety of things to cert on since I have to make an old-fashioned video so I decided to knock out a few things that I pretty well knew I could get and save the harder stuff for another session.

First off I did the #1 ultra light horseshoe. Wen't pretty well. Second I wanted to take it fairly easy on the unbraced bends so I started with a 1/4 by 7 inch bar and it went down then the 6.5 inch and it too went down but I could feel that I wasn't up nowhere near 100%. I decided to back off and do the G5 bolt at 6 inches and then I took a break. The steel kept calling to me so I decided to try the bastard and it fell but was harder than I expected so against my better judgement I decided to try the hex, after all I had killed the McMaster hex. I did put a double wrap on it to give myself a little extra since my hands were still sore. At the 5 minute mark I had it to a little under 90 degrees but since I'd went over the time I stopped to save myself, or what I had left. I do think this current batch of hex is probably pretty tough just like the current batch of bastards.

I had very little time left on the tape so I decided to knock down the spikes and do them fast. I got the 12 first, then the 10, then the 3/8 inch bolt and that was it.

Next session after a couple days rest and healing I'll try the big and the hug and the other hex and big hex. Wished I'd ordered more but it wasn't the best time fiscally to order steel.

I was glad too to finally get to try the ultra light horseshoes. Anybody wanting to get into the horseshoe game should try these first.

Man I know it's only steel but I feel like a kid at Christmas time when the ol' FBBC order arrives. Great fun, I just wished I'd gotten the hex.
