Handle thickness for the apollon's axle

If I wanted to practice for the Apollon Axle lift, will a 2 inch thick bar suffice?  Or does it ned to be thicker than that?

What was the true diameter of the actual handle of the original Apollon's Axle?  (Help, Roark!).  Also did the one that Mark Henry lifted approximate the original??   ???

The original Apollon railcar wheel axle was 1.93"

in diameter. (Ignore Venables' assertion that it

was nearly 3"). Circ was 6.06"

The replica set that Henry lifted just under 6.25" in

diameter, or just under 2", so yes, a 2" bar would be

fine.

But keep in mind that it was non-revolving!
