Brass Or Sprayed Plastic

By any chance does this look like a standard store gripper that has been sprayed Ebay link I came across this a minute ago and it made me laugh.

It's a sports gripper sprayed with gold effect paint(brass plated! ), you can even see where the paint's bubbled!

...actually, looking closer those handles could be brass. but it still looks like a cheap sports gripper.

To me it looks like a sports store gripper spray painted, and not very well at that. It's possible it's actually brass but that's a million to one in my opinion.

These are floating around out there and I have no idea who made them but they are polished brass. I seen one at a flea market once and they are pretty weak compared to the grippers we are used to.

I have seen metal grippers in that shape but that one does look faked.

I don't know that still looks like a cheap sports store gripper sprayed but why would someone with that good of feedback sell a cheap knockoff? It doesn't make sense.
