I'm trying now and I see I can't close it (I closed it a couple of cms... :tongue ) anymore, it's blocked somewhere... pdfk20
wack some WD40 onto it.
Scott Styles
It will happen since the gripper springs are polished metal. Ironmind sells a sentry tuff cloth if it really concerns you. It shouldn't impact the functionality of the gripper too much. I oil mine with some WD40 once in awhile and leave it at that.
makey98
if the rust is new, some steel wool or some type of abrasive scratch pad with take off that rust with a little oil.....Gun oil also works if you don't have wd-
gather
if the rust is new, some steel wool or some type of abrasive scratch pad with take off that rust with a little oil.....Gun oil also works if you don't have wd-40 i had a similar problem with my grippers when after a few years they started to creek so i put some wd40 on and hey presto, the only problem is its made them a bit easier. Is this considered cheating using wd40?
Alawadhi
will a WD40 make a gripper easeir?
Autolupus
will a WD40 make a gripper easeir? Only if you let your grippers get into a rough enough state that showing them a little TLC stops them binding!
superfeemiman
That means you can think of rust as another way to microload?
Hirtalion
Thanks to everyone! WD-40 acted greatly, now is better than it was out of the box: no sound when I squeeze and smoother in closing it.
