t-wehner
Today was the end of my first shot at the KTA program. Personally, i loved it. I do not like to take rest days. i get board, and want to do something all the time if there is nothing else going are to preclude working out. only now that i have gotten older, have i found out what rest and recovery can do for you. Welp, got the KTA program, and guess what, there is hardly any rest days at all throughout the whole program. (and half way through you wish there were ) it is definately more mental than physical, and my own grip workouts will never be the same again. My goals again were to close the BBSM, i posted a week ago about accomplishing that, as well as closing my filed #1 with my messed up left hand, and i did that too. for the last couple of workouts, i'm avereging 5-7 closes on the bbsm out of 9 attempts, and i go 6-8 on the #1 out of 9. the closes are MMS for now, but thats the way my #2 closes were when i first stated closing it too. I'm now going to go back to my 3 day a week grip schedule, focusing on closing from the no set and ccs positions, while continuing to get better at the bbsm. wrist and forearm strength will be focused on as well. and pinching will come back too. can't wait. (gotta take it cool though for a couple of days, ripped the palm open on the negative crush) will do the KTA again in the future when the bbsm is at ccs, or reps, and i get the money to order a gripper above the #3. overall, awesome program, suggest it to all who need a change, or want to get the next gripper and increase handstrength. take care and good lifting. makey98
if you like that kind of training you might look into KTA2. (For lifting the blob) It is very very tough. Your joints ache all the way from your thumb to your elbow. Brutally tough...... I am getting ready to start it up again next week. I did it last year and gained about 15lbs on my pinch, but I didn't have some of the blobs that I needed at the time and some other basic equipment so I improvised which I think hurt my gains. t-wehner
will defiantely look into it. all my stuff is homemade as far as pinch goes though (i.e. wooden pinch blocks, few olympic plates or other contraptions.) 15lbs are pretty nice gains, wouldn't mind getting that myself. thanks for the advice take care and good lifting Quote close bbsm ccs- close coc#3- DL 450- "........with the strength of thirty in the grip of each hand."
