crobb1320
hey everyone. i just started training on v-bar,had my 3rd session yesterday, i pulled 164 on the large v-bar and 187 on the 1 inch v-bar. i am not a big guy at 155lbs. 5'6". are these weights respectable?i have set a goal for 225lbs. i know its early in the training to really worry about it,i was just wondering how is everyone else training v-bar doing? and also i think this v-bar is almost as addictive as the grippers!!! vikingsrule92
My PB is 231 lbs. with 7 1/2 in. hands at 14 years old. You have some really good #s, those look really similar to mine for my first couple of V Bar workouts. Keep up the good work and you'll be at 225 in no time. Oh and I definitely agree with Matt that V Bar is addicting although it really messes up your hands.
viper
if its only your 3rd time theres no doubt you can have 225lbs somewhen i think ive also done v-bar 3 times, last time i did 133kg each hand, ive not actually trained it yet, just maxed out a couple times - will get to work on it soon enough an go after the world record

You don't have to get full lockout you have to get 2" off the ground, is that what you meant? Anyway congrats that's a really good number, especially this early in your training with it
crobb1320
some contests want it pulled to full lockout and set back down under control ,and some dont.i attended the tps grip assault as a spectator and thats how they were doing it,plus if you pull it to full lockout you've already got the 2 inchs anyway.thats just the way i train it. thanks for the reply and happy gripping.
