Mm1 Replica Closed

CoC#3

Recommended Posts

Feels like an average-hard #3. I want to try the MM2.

Thanks to Brett H for the gripper!

Ah! I was actually kinda doubtful about your gripper strength since in your videos it always appears that you force it in and then just hold it at whatever distance you can hold them... but this one sure is clear!!! Congrats!!! Great strength!!

Thanks Jhawk

Lifesnotfair on review of my older videos it does seem to look like that i agree. I have been studying MM cert vids and i've learnt how to MMS properly and get a clear(er) vid.

Thanks Pete. When you try the MM1 you'll grind it easily.

Can anyone tell me if this video would be good enough for an MM cert? IS this the sort of thing you want to see for cert videos? If not can you give me tips how to improve?

Good close Sam! Didn't you buy a new coc#3 a few months back? Close the coc#3 on video and start climbing the Mash Monster ladder!

That would definitly qualify as a good close, one that the judges would give three white lights without much debate I think. From what I've seen in other cert videos, the width of the set is good and the pause is optimal for judges to see the set(a pause isn't neccesary though as long as it's clear) So yes, aside from all the other aspects of the cert when attempting(opening box containing the right gripper, gripper in frame, rules and all that), the close itself would be good, I'm sure!

Thank you both for the feedback! I'll post the #3 close up next time i train grippers and get mm0 certed then.

That is pretty good. To improve it, rotate the handles up and a bit closer at the close. Then, it would be a great video.

Sam, you should also think about getting out of the sun when you do your Mash Monster cert. I think the indoor videos are a better quality.

Congrats! Strong close. I never doubted you. Do what Aaron did. Take the video from the bottom for the MM cert. But you need to practice for it. I am amazed on how fast you got the gripper. Hopefully I too will get the grippers fast like you.

Nice one Sam. One thing I have to say about the MM videos is do it wide and pause the set so there isn't doubt, you are plenty strong to pull it off :rock

Thanks a lot guys.

Small update, today i picked the MM1 up again, went for reps this time. Managed 5 with my left, which is my stronger hand on grippers. I also did 10 clicks opening to around 1/4'' with my right hand. After all this i slipped a credit card between the handles and attempted it. Stopped around 1/8'' so basically i've got to work on ccs (i don't train it at the moment) before i think about certing on the #3. When i finally mange to credit card close this gripper i'll get another vid.
