Autolupus Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 (edited) http://www.jumpcut.com/fullscreen?id=83933...2&type=clip The weight's about 30kg, the width 112mm. The stainless plates weigh a tad under 10kg, the "spacer" weight is a 1.25kg. Edited April 23, 2007 by Autolupus Quote Mike Mackenzie. Luceo non uro.
lifesnotfair Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 Nice wide pinch!! Training to lift 3 25's? Quote
Autolupus Posted April 23, 2007 Author Posted April 23, 2007 Nice wide pinch!! Training to lift 3 25's? Just training really, maybe with the idea of 5 10s or having a go at some blobs, should I ever come across any! Hadn't even thought about 3 25s, I'd imagine they'd be about 80-90mm? Something to look at too! Cheers. Quote Mike Mackenzie. Luceo non uro.
superfeemiman Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 Good lift! Nice looking plates, too. Quote #2 Right hand -- 12/17/06 Parallel, 2/11/07 CCS, 5/9/07 No-set ///// Left hand -- 2/11/07 Parallel, 4/7/07 CCS, 5/9/07 No-set #3 #4(lol)
shorn Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Nice lift.I would imagine the 5 10's would be a piece of cake. Quote
neilkaz Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 What a weekend you must have had, mate, with the pinching a grippers !! Yes...you get 5 similar 10's and up they'll go for sure. Rather than 3 25's you might wish, being in the metric world to try 3 22's. I'm pissed at myself since I found 2 nice pinching used 22's (too easy so I use them for the kids and never thought to check if the used sports store had a 3rd the same. Anyhow..I won't be suprised to see you get 5 11's soon and that is an fine accomplishment. .. neilkaz .. Quote
madss Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 sweet lift! I really like those blingy plates. they look slick. Quote Scott George
CoC#3 Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 This is a very good lift man. I reckon you could get 5 11lb plates or 3 22lb plates. Go for these lifts. Get the plates from www.bodypower.co.uk this is where the 5kg plaets are from that i do pinch work with! Quote real name: Sam Solomi
Autolupus Posted April 24, 2007 Author Posted April 24, 2007 Cheers all. As I don't have any oly bars, I don't want to buy a load of oly plates just to cert. With the setup I've got at the moment I can vary the width, load the sides to suit the weight I'm aiming for and concentrate on getting stronger...if I can get to a decent level then maybe I'll look at trying to find somewhere with some weights to cert. I'd really love to see what The Blob feels like! (like it's got ten foot roots, I expect! ) Quote Mike Mackenzie. Luceo non uro.

Autolupus Posted April 24, 2007 Author Posted April 24, 2007 (edited) Btw, those plates under your bed, the plastic ones filled with cement, I found a pair of them on the scrapyard, but thought no one had those.. guess not I'll try and find a use for most things, after all a weight's a weight...and most of my stuff, I've managed to accumulate. Where was this scrapyard exactly? Edited April 24, 2007 by Autolupus Quote Mike Mackenzie. Luceo non uro.

Autolupus Posted October 22, 2007 Author Posted October 22, 2007 Still haven't beaten this pinch yet! Working on it with an extra 1.25kg plate, which takes it to 134mm/ 5 1/4"...but have since weighed it and it was 28.5kg not 30kg. With the extra plate it's 29.75kg, can just about hold it on a neg. Hopefully get it by the end of the year. Quote Mike Mackenzie. Luceo non uro.
