Coc Grippers

i bought a #1 about 5 years ago it took me about a month of playing before i could close that one,

then about 1 year ago i bought a #2 I left it in the wrapper for about 11 months then when i did open it after about a month of playing i was about 1/8" away from

closing it.

I stopped grippers completely about a 2 months ago when i took up DO bending. im under enforced layoff

due to bad shoulder now so am going to hit the grippers, block weights levering and wrist rolling a bit more, start

taking all round grip more seriously.

I digress;

i bought CoC grippers #'s 2.5, 3, 3.5 last week i was surprised to see that my old #2 and my new #2.5 are almost exactly the same difficulty. I can close to old 2 to about 8-9mm and the #2.5 to 9-10mm, just for comparison i got the new#3 to just before parrallel and moved the #3.5 about an inch

any thoughts have i got an easy #2.5 or a hard #2? Or a bit of both

It might be a bit of both, it could also be that the sweep is a little easier on the 2.5 but ramps up at the close, so you won't really be able to tell without actually closing them...and two hand crush won't be an option until your shoulder's right again! ;)
