Wrist Rolling Standards

Wrist rolling is one of my favorite grip exercises cause it's the only one i'm half way good at.

I'm curious to see what everyones standards on the wrist roll lift are.

Here's my take on this event.I do them in a power rack with the 2"roller set at about shoulder height with weights on a loading pin.

I roll up untill the knot on the caribiener from the rope touches the roller.I mostly work up to a max.single and don't worry how the weight comes down(watch your feet).I have a max for a clock wise roll and counter clock wise roll.I have used several brands also. The IM,Fat Bastard and NYBB rollers.

Also has anyone ever tried a one hand wrist roll?

I did some yesterday with my 2"roller in my power rack.Doing them any way you can with only one hand nothing else touching the roller. It's alot of manuvering with the fingers and hand and not to easy aleast for me.I managed 28lbs to shoulder height. It took aleast five minutes to get it up to the top and my hand and forearm was screaming.I did one with R and L.

I think one has to make a distinction when doing them two handed. You have to decide whether you will allow both wrists to flex at once, or if they have to alternate. Alternating is harder, obviously.

You don't get a dog and do the barking yourself.

I find alternating wrist rolling easier if you don't stop.

The more you can keep that roller moving even just a little bit the more likley you will get it to the top.

The two hand at a time technique is easy to get the weight going but is a start /stop method that will hold you back when trying to get a very heavy weight IMO.
