MrZsasz Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Tried looking around but didn't see any calibrations for plate steel. If someone could give me a ball park that would be great. Oh, and it's Steel Works 1/4 square, 6" piece. Thanks in advance. Quote
Tim71 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 I can say on the 5/16 the plated usually hit right in between the hot rolled and the Cold rolled so I'm guessing in a 6 inch piece that it would probably hit 375 or pretty close. Probably about like a G5 or so. Not for sure but I'd guess I'm not far off. Tim Quote

I don't know how the G5s I have compare but I find them easier, until the crush, than the 60Ds I have. Ben has some of my 60Ds and G5s so he would know if they are weak. Quote
Tim71 Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 I just noticed you said square stock so It's probably key stock which is kinda tempered and an entirely different animal than the round zinc plated stuff. G5s do vary alot. I have some triangles that I'd rather face than some hard 60d nails but give a good JH a try and it will be harder than a 60d. Tim Quote
