2.5 Inch Db Vs. Inch Dumbbell

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Which implement is more difficult to use typically?

How much would I have to do on a 2.5 inch DB in order to lift the Inch Dumbbell? Any estimates?

The 2.5 inch dumbbell which I have is painted and has no knurling, FYI.

Thought "The Inch" weighed 172lb, with a short handle, making it difficult to get a good grip? :unsure

Does that mean I'd have to do 150 lbs on the 2.5 inch DB, or 190 lbs?

Does a horizontal or vertical (neutral) grip matter when training the lift?

Mobster meant ~ 192 - 212 in his experience, and his experience on the matter is rather good.

How about with a three inch diameter handle dumbbell?

Don't own one. So don't know.

I have played with a 3'' dumbell. Around the time i was pulling an 85kg rolling thunder i could lift 65kg on a 3'' handle.
