Bob Lipinski Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Finally bent a hard 70d. It was a multi-session effort, but I was able to finish it off today. Finally getting less than pathetic at the bending. Got an old bastard from 90 degrees. Quote US Handstrength

Booyah!!! Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Nice Milestone Bend!!! It was harder for me to bend a hard 70D than a Red Nail. Congrats!!! Quote I Love Bending Steel http://www.youtube.com/user/booyahbender
Bob Lipinski Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 Thanks! I've done a red a while ago, and I couldn't do the 70d's then. In fact, I have a 6.5 red at Don Larkin's that I am going to try to finish up in a few weeks. Quote US Handstrength
Tim71 Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Bob, Excellent bend. To me the order of difficulty went like this. I got my first bastard bar a couple weeks ago and I couldn't get a hard 70d nail. The nail BTW, calibrated at 415 lbs and was canadian made, I think midwest manufacturing marketed it though. Then yesterday I got the tough 70d in probably a minute and it was tougher than the bastard bar, then I got one of the new tougher reds and to me it was noticably tougher than the 70d. Crush was unusually tough for CRS. No doubt you could get one of the easier bastard bars then. Great Job! Tim Quote
