Yes I did a search, didn't read all the threads that mentioned volume but a good few only said to use high volume. I'd assume that this somewhat varies from person to person but in general what amount of lighter bending is considered high volume? Is it bending until your exhausted, bending till sore?

There are variants, as with everything. You can have large volume training, in one sitting.

You can have large volume, spread throughout the day, as in GTG training.

Intensity is something to be taken into consideration, with both you would have to lessen the intensity, somewhat to actually mange the sets.

I feel, personally, that high intensity low reps works best.

That aside if you still want to use, GTG then it works on a less than maximum over a period, for specialising.
