liam.mccaffrey Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 (edited) got hold of some brand new IM reds this past week along with IM wraps. I was all up for it after taking out a couple of 8mm x 7" CRS this week, but the reds are WAY harder at least 10% I managed to kink it but then it froze, i cheated kinked it bit by bit to see if i could move it anywhere through its range. I did manage to move it 1mm here and there. When i had cheated it down to 3.75" between ends i actually managed to finish it off to under 2" without too much trouble this was all with IM wraps too. When i got home i tried a new nail with leather wraps; again i kinked it a bit more than the other one. but then it froze. i was tired from battling with other nail for 2 hours. the second kinked nail is now duck taped to my book case, It was laughing at me when I took it out of the box. Its worried now cus it knows it doesn't have long left. I am mentally stronger than the RED Nail  Edited April 12, 2007 by liamcafs Quote
judoboy Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 i was tired from battling with other nail for 2 hours. my longest bend is probly more like 2mins, after 10mins i would need a cup of tea and a sit down you will do that red - easy Quote Regards, Anthony http://www.armageddonarmwrestling.com/ http://m.youtube.com/user/armageddonarm http://m.youtube.com/user/midlandsmilitia
acorn Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Way to stick with it. Thats the attitude you need to really start killing steel. It will go down soon. - Aaron Quote ** Retired **

acorn Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 BTW I always get my best workouts and increases from the steel that I have fought hard and failed on. - Aaron Quote ** Retired **
gazza Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Yep like Aaron i have failed on many a tough piece of steel sometimes just ending up doing an iso workout for hours this made me lots stronger thats when i had the idea to do lots of iso work in my training and ive never looked back. Great work on that red one day they will just melt and you will be amazed at how strong you are becomeing. No "LIMITS" bro. Quote "There he goes. One of gods own prototypes. smp76 Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Save those failed pieces man. Keep them around as visual reminders of what you need to work on. It they are wobbled, then Kink is your enemy, if the froze solid at ninety degrees then the crush down is your beast of burden. Keep that strong mental image of you bending the nail and feel it moving under your grasp and it will fall in no time.
