Difference In Coc Grippers?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've noticed on some gripping videos that the captains of crush grippers sometimes look different. Some have black springs, though mine have dark silver springs. Also I've seen that some of them also have the number on the bottom of the handle with some other numbers or letters around it, mine only has a 2 or 3 on the bottom?? I just want to find out that I'm not being sold fakes, the packaging looks fine and I'm ordering my grippers from a reliable shop. If they're all from the same place then they should all look the same :whacked ?? Can anyone clear this up for me? Thanks

The newer coc grippers have the COC stamping at the bottom. I bought my no.1,2 and 3 last year and they all are purely stamped with the number, however my 1.5, 2.5 and new no.3 which i bought this year, have the COC stamp. It is likely that the coc grippers you have are from 2006 or maybe before.

Yea Ironmind single stamped the number on one of the handles years ago(not exactly sure when).

My trainer's long since lost(lent to a ?friend? who never returned it)...but my#1 is only stamped on one handle(can't remember the exact year...but would have been 1998/2000), I was bought as a present my #2, which has 2 embossed on both. That would have been around 2002/2004.

Just recently bought the #1.5, #2.5 and the #3, all of which have the COC pretty much everywhere!

Err no menace, I'm talking about the different types of captains of crush grippers. If you have a look on some videos of people closing COC's then you'll see that there are a few types, a black sping, silver spring and different engraving on the bottom of the grippers. Maybe if you look at some video clips you'll see what I'm talking about. :dry

All they really are is just different models from different years. Most of them aren't considered "stronger", or "harder" than another model (save for a few which I think, for example, the Silvercrush is one of).
