Read the article from Michael Crichton first, its from his autobiographical book "Travels."

The second is an in depth description of the experience, as well as a somewhat scientific explanation of the phenomenon:

Its long, but a good read!

Don't know whether that guy is full of crap or not

There is a natural order. The way things are meant to be. An order that says the good guys always win, that you die when it's your time or when you have it coming, that the ending is always happy-if only for someone else.

There is a scientific institute in France (managed by a nobel prize) that offers money to anyone that can perform something 'paranormal' under controled circonstances. Needless to say, it would be a fantastic way to get official recognition and fame for anyone that can ACTUALLY perform something considered as paranormal. Many people applied. Guess what: no one succeeded.

I am not sure about the possibility to bend spoons with the mind, but it seems to be such a good party trick that we would probably see it a lot if it were 'easy' and 'doable by everyone' as said in the article.

Nice article anyway.

You know I've thought about this some even with some of the Martial arts demonstration where they say size doesn't matter it's all in the mind. Well, if it's that simply why do none of these psycho-benders and breakers not bend a piece of railroad track or something like that. Same with the fire walkers. Walk on a red-hot piece of steel if the temperature doesn't matter. Why do people who break boards and claim it's all mental always use thinner stuff cut against the grain? Why not do a railroad tie?

I do believe there have been some unexplainable phenomenom but I think there are alot more fakes.

Shame it is fake though since that might have been the only way we could catch Gazza!

My vote is utter bunk!

How many beans are we talking . . .and does the cow have to be in 1 piece?

We were created with hands to bend steel. The mind is for solving crosswords, completing tax returns, and remembering your wife's birthday (so I've been told). :blush

Like Wes said the guy is full of crap. I also could do that in the past. Because I WAS a magician. I'm pretty sure Tommy can do it since he is a migician. The best psycho steel bender is banachek (or one of the best). He teaches most of his stuff on DVD. I have them all. It's fun to learn (all tricks of course).

Read about me in my biography.
